Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has revealed that he and his wife, Chioma, are putting a pause on having more children to allow her time to focus on her career.

The singer made this known during a recent episode of Ride Along With Darryl, shared on X Saturday, where he explained that after having three kids, Chioma deserves time for herself and her ambitions.

“I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break. She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids,”

he said. The singer also revealed that Chioma is presently spending more time overseas as she prepares to kick-start her entrepreneurial journey, starting with her own spice brand.

The couple, who are parents to twins born in 2023, suffered the tragic loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, the year before in a swimming pool accident.
